Valentine's Day Gift Ideas for Him

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas for Him
Shop the Post:
On Wednesday, I shared my favorite gifts for 'her' for Valentine's Day! Today I'm talking about some gift ideas for the guys.

I'm old fashion in that I feel like, in a traditional relationship, Valentine's Day is more for the guy to impress the woman, but I can't resist giving a great gift... it's really fun to give, isn't it?! Do you give your boyfriend/husband/fiance a gift or just a card/candy?

Just like my 'for her' guide, I've included small gifts like this travel shoe cleaning kit, but also pricier gifts such as this cashmere 1/4 zip and this duffle backpack

One thing I always share in gift giving guides is that I like to be 'extra'. So for example, if I gave my boyfriend a Yeti mug, I would also gift him a pound of his favorite coffee... like a 'set'. Or if I gave him a Quip toothbrush, I'd give him a tube of his favorite toothpaste. Typically, the 'extras' are little and not costly, which is great, and I really think it adds something special to a gift!

Lately 1/18/2018

Top// Shorts (currently 40% off, neutrals here)// Sneakers

This week was, thankfully, a lot better than last week! On Monday, I went over to my Grammie's for lunch. I always love spending time with her! Then, I headed to my parent's for dinner- my mom was making my favorite: steak!

We got a ton of snow this week and it has (still) been frigid. Being outdoors is basically miserable because it's freezing but you also have that gross gray sludge to worry about, so you can't really wear any cute shoes.

This week I was also excited to start working on the board of PRSA. I met with my predecessor who showed me the ropes. If you aren't a member of PRSA and are in the PR/Marketing world in Pittsburgh, I really urge you to join!  It is a really great networking opportunity and they host events that can really benefit you!

And lastly, I'm really glad to report that I have been really good at sticking with my cooking during the week goal! I've also been really good at hitting the gym almost every single day. I already feel so much better!

Wearing: Since I've been good about getting a workout in every day, I have been treating myself to a few new pieces of activewear. I typically look for pieces that I can wear while sweating or while running errands. Because of this, the pieces have to be a little more put together than a loose/frumpy tank. I found these two pieces on sale, so I snagged them! The shorts are still available, but my top is sold out in the color I am wearing but is full-price in neutral colors. It's a really great top! The shorts are THE BEST (under $35). They're super high waisted (which I love) and just overall really easy to move in.

Eating: One of the things I made recently was orzo with turkey meatballs. I actually bought the meatballs pre-made (but fresh/refrigerated) at Whole Foods, so I cheated a bit. I also bought a pack of the beef, too. I didn't really love either. They both really lacked flavor... wondering if any of you have any great turkey meatball recipes?!

Eating II: Did you guys catch my guacamole recipe? It is SO good.

Drinking: I tried a medicine ball from Starbucks late last week. It seems the social media world has been going crazy over this drink, so I was intrigued. Overall, it was very sweet and lemony. I drink both my coffee and tea 'black'.. aka no sugar, cream, milk, honey, etc. I think I just prefer a simpler drink. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but it just wasn't my cup of tea... ha ha ha.

Reading: Superbowl commercials are starting to roll in. I saw Matt Damon being interviewed on one of the morning shows about his Stella Artois spot and I really liked the fact that it incorporates philanthropy into a commercial. More companies should do that!

Watching:
I just finished Mindhunter and it was pretty good. Not bingeable, but one or two episodes a day was good. I couldn't get into Marvelous Mrs. Maisel... too show-tuney for me. So, I need a new show to watch. Any good recommendations? I feel like I've already watched everything that is popular (ie. Stranger Things, Elizabeth Smart docs, Scientology docs, Westworld, Handmaid's Tale, etc. etc.).

Listening: I've been going back to my February 2016 playlist a lot lately. It has a ton of really good, upbeat songs that are perfect for working out!

Wanting: I'm a bit bored of my closet right now. I think once spring hits and I need to switch over my clothes, I am going to do a big purge. I do this often, but I'm really looking forward to it. I think this is in most part because all I wear are heavy sweaters because it's really too cold to wear anything else! See the items I'm loving in the widget above!

Pittsburgh-ing: The Steelers lost (sigh), but I wanted to share with you the cutest little doggy jersey I got for Henry! I don't really plan on dressing him in things, but this was too cute to pass up. I also ordered him a coat (which he actually needs). He doesn't seem to mind wearing the jersey at all. I call him a little yinzer dog when he wears it, ha! I would assume they make jerseys for all different teams, so check it out and see if they have your favorite team for your pup!

Traveling: Next up, I'm headed to the Caribbean on a mother-daughter trip! I can't wait. Do you have any travel plans coming up?

Quoting: 'If you're helping someone and expecting something in return, you're doing business, not kindness.'// See more of my favorites, here

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas For Her

Shop the Post:

We are just about a month away from Valentine's Day! I feel like I change my opinion on the day every year. I always welcome a reason to celebrate, but I also feel like you should appreciate and show your love every day.

I don't know why, but I feel like the overpriced prix fixe dinners and a dozen red roses are just so cliche and boring, so that's not something I look forward to. But, giving your bestie a cute little gift to remind her how special she is to you is something I can get behind.

Or guys, letting your girlfriend know you haven't forgotten this special day is also important! I compiled a group of gifts that would be appropriate to give any girl in your life. Whether you are having a Galentine's party, a dad looking for a cute gift to give his daughter, or a boyfriend/husband/fiance looking to surprise the one he loves, these gifts are great ideas.

I included little things like chocolate, but also bigger items like this bracelet that I wear every day. So, there should be a price point that fits every budget! This year, on Valentine's Day, I'll be in the Caribbean with my mom! I'm so excited! We've planned a mother-daughter trip (Callie sadly can't make it due to her very limited vacation days... we are so sad!!!). But, I'll be celebrating once I'm back in Pittsburgh!

I think these cards are SO cute, and a really great way to share your love across the country/world! I'll be back on Friday with gift ideas for guys, so stay tuned!

If you are looking for a more experiential gift idea, check out this guide I posted 2 years ago. There are some really great, out-of-the-box ideas!

How do you celebrate Valentine's Day? Do you have a tradition? Typically, my family cooks a 'fancy'/indulgent meal together at home (friends and dates, welcome, too!)... in the past years, we have been favoring beef wellington.

1 Month With Henry

Shop the Look:

It's been exactly one month since I've had Henry. I can't believe it's been a month and yet I can't imagine my life without him.

I thought I'd do an update, one, so I can look back on it and remember this time, but also to let you all know about having a new dog if you are considering it yourself! This is a long post, so keep scrolling!

Responsibility
I knew he would be a lot of responsibility, but it's been surprisingly less than I thought. I really thought taking him out would be such a chore (especially in an apartment and many floors up), but it hasn't been annoying at all... even with the freezing cold temps. I enjoy it and he's so cute getting up in the morning and getting excited to go outside! The one thing that is annoying is that he hates the cold (don't we all), so taking him on a long walk in 0 degrees is a no-go. Last week, when it was warm, we went on the longest walk ever, and it seemed like he had so much fun. I can't wait until it warms up a bit and we can do that daily.

I will say the only thing that is annoying is that he sheds. I have to vacuum every 2 days (sometimes every day). It's annoying but feels so good afterward. It's a vicious cycle, but well worth it.

Home
Henry has finally figured out his 'home', aka my apartment. It was hard at first because I was taking him everywhere with me over the holidays. From my parents to my grammies, to my aunts, etc. it was hard for me to establish a routine with him. Now that the holidays have quieted down, he's already in a great routine and loves my apartment. He doesn't like when other people come to visit for the first few minutes, but I am trying to teach him it's ok. He is slowly but surely learning. He is, however, great at going to anyone else's home. He loves hanging out at my parent's house, hanging at Grammie's, and visiting Stuart (my cousin's dog).

I also love that I don't have to crate him. He's fine being in my apartment/my parent's house while I'm gone. He mostly just lays around or plays with his toys and he's really great at not getting into anything he shouldn't/doesn't chew on anything he shouldn't. When I'm gone, I leave my Echo on for him with soft jazz, ha! I love that he gets SO excited when I get home. It's the best welcome ever.

People
I'm not fully sure of his past, but he's afraid of noises and people at first. He's just overall skittish and timid. It seems like he might have been on his own in the wild for a bit of time. He's already gotten a TON better with both of these things, but we are still working on it. He eventually warms up to people after just a few minutes. On Christmas Eve we have sooo many people at my parent's for a huge party and he had absolutely no issue with anyone, so that was great.

I left Henry with my parent's for 5 days while in Arizona and they said he was great! He is now best friends with my parents and is obsessed with my mom. Whenever I bring him to my parent's he gets so excited to see her... it's adorable.

Other Dogs
Henry gets along with other dogs really well for the most part. Mac and Henry are best friends. They love hanging out together at my parent's. We think Henry is keeping Mac 'young', ha! However, if a dog is wild/super high energy wanting to play every second and jumping all over the place, Henry is not a fan. Before I adopted him, he lived with 6 other dogs, so he's well socialized, but he needs to be more patient with puppy energy.

Temperament
The way Henry's foster mom described him was 'velcro' and it's literally the only appropriate word to use. Henry is at my side 24/7. Even when I'm trying to take photos/Instagrams, he is right there- it's not me trying to get him in the shot! With outfit photos, I have to try and get him away from me just to get a few shots without him.

When I'm sitting at my desk, he is literally laying on my feet. When I'm in the living room on the couch, he is cuddled up right next to me (he has to be touching me). When I go to bed, he sleeps right up against me. It's beyond cute. He's so loving and so kind, he makes my heart melt.

He's really motivated by food, and I've been able to teach him to sit and lay down. Now we are working on 'paw'. He's very smart and seems to learn things very quickly. Mac loved tug of war, but Henry isn't into that. He LOVES to chew on toys and toys that squeak and also loves to play fetch.

My Thoughts
Henry is by far one of the best decisions I have ever made in my entire life. I wholeheartedly recommend adopting a sweet boy or girl! He fills me with joy, happiness, and love. I can only hope he feels the same.

I've noticed Henry/having a dog, in general, is making me a little more relaxed. Like if my apartment isn't vacuumed perfectly each day, I let it roll off my shoulders.

Another thing I've noticed is that Henry has brought out 'maternal' behavior in me. I actually didn't notice this myself. One of my friends mentioned it to me and now I definitely agree. I have never had a very strong maternal desire. I've also never had much interaction with kids (no one in my family has children, I'm the oldest, so I'm just never around kids at all). I noticed I'm protective over him and care for him as if he was my own child (which sounds ridiculous, but if you have a pet, I feel you might understand what I mean by that). So, I love that this is giving me a taste of caring for someone else. I'm glad I find joy in caring for him, too... it doesn't feel like a chore or annoyance at all!!

Pajamas
I wanted to quickly let you all know about these pajamas.  I love RRR pajamas, and I was intrigued by these because they are 'jersey' material. I was thinking they might be similar to my favorite, Lake pajamas.  And, I was right. They're SO comfortable. The jersey material is so soft. They are roomy but also flattering. I loved the bright print becuase while you can definitely wear them in the winter, they make you happy with the beautiful colors!

The Best Guacamole Recipe

The Best Guacamole Recipe

While I was in Arizona, we went to a really cool restaurant, Sumomaya, where I discovered the BEST guacamole ever. It was pomegranate guacamole! Kind of odd, right? I wouldn't have ordered it on my own, but it's what the group chose.

So, I tried it and fell in love. It's tart and sweet and salty and just all around a really great taste. We all loved it so much that we decided to try and recreate it the next day (hence the low-quality iPhone pic, sorry!).

We not only replicated it, but we all agreed it was even better than Sumomaya's. We basically looked up a bunch of recipes online and then pulled what we liked best from each recipe, plus added some of our own ideas.

Here's what you'll need:
- 2 avocados
- Seeds from 1 pomegranate
- Chopped Cilantro (finely chopped)
- Juice of 1 whole lime
- green onion (finely chopped)
- 1/4 of a white onion (finely chopped)
- Adobo seasoning
- Half of a fresh jalapeno (finely chopped)

1. Dice avocado

2. Gather seeds from pomegranate (You can buy them already prepared from most grocery stores. The grocery store that we went to was out, so we had to fish the seeds out of a whole pomegranate. We used this tip from this YouTube video and it was actually pretty fast and easy to do).

3. Mix everything you finely chopped together in a large bowl. I find it helps if you start with just the avocado and then start to add the other finely chopped ingredients as you stir.

4. We added seasoning and lime juice to taste, but the amount of lime juice we liked was 1 large lime. Adobo seasoning is something I didn't have, but my friend Erica had it and loves it. So, we added the seasoning in and it was fantastic. I actually ended up buying some once I got home. It kind of just works with everything and gives it a great flavor.

Overall this is REALLY easy to make, but I honestly think it tastes different/fancy. It would be great to bring to a get together (like a Superbowl party). It gives you a little taste of summer, which we all need at this point, right?!

Do you have any tips to get the perfect homemade guac? Let me know! I'm a huge guacamole fan, so I love experimenting!

Saturday Shopping 1/13/2018

If you guys read Thursday's Lately post, then you know this week was a doozy for me. And it really was. SO much going on, I think I might just sleep this entire weekend!

Yesterday, I was elated to find a new-to-me dermatologist close by. I also had a great dinner with some girlfriends... where Henry and Roo (my friend's dog) played allllll night. When I got home, I spent the rest of my Friday night doing a deep clean of the apartment (silver and all).
I've almost had Henry for a month now, and I can't wait to do a monthly update. It's kind of nuts it has only been a month because I can't really imagine my life without him now. On Thursday, it was 60+ degrees outside, so I made sure to get a workout outside, and take Henry for the longest walk in the city! He loved it and we stopped for a quick picnic, too! Sorry for the worst picture in the history of Summer Wind, but this is the best I got!

Today, there is not much on the agenda. I was going to save cleaning for today, but I got home last night and just felt the itch... and once I'm started, I don't stop. So, I'm actually going to be very glad to enjoy a clean apartment while it is frigid outside. Maybe some Netflix binging and napping before I head to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner. I feel like a good sleep will do me well becuase I've been a bit stressed this week and haven't had the best nights of sleep.

Then, Sunday, it's the Steeler's first playoff game and I'm so excited to watch with friends. Fingers crossed we get a W!
Today's post is a hodgepodge of items I found on the web this week. It's a bit of warm-weather dreaming and a bit of 'I'm really cold and need all the layers'. I posted this post-workout snap to Instagram this week. I've been really good about getting in a daily workout lately, so I've been shopping for new workout pieces. This tee is something I got on major sale (just $33). There are still some in stock. I'm wearing a size small- it runs big/roomy, so you could definitely size down!

How To: Wear a Trend in a Classic Way

How To: Wear a Trend in a Classic Way

How To: Wear a Trend in a Classic Way

Sweater (under $100)// Corduroy Pants (on major sale)
Lip Color (in babe)
Shop the Look:

We all know I'm not a trendy dresser... that is clear. But I always share with you guys how I will sometimes add trendier pieces to my wardrobe and style them in a way that is more classic and in line with my personal style.

I saw this cream sweater online and I really liked how it looked on the model. Simple and chic in a year-round color and fabric, but updated with a slight 'statement sleeve' and also a bit cropped at the hem.

At under $100, I figured, why not. So the box arrived and I pulled out the sweater. I was very underwhelmed. I almost put it back in the box without even trying it on becuase it looked so oddly shaped.

Well, I put it on and fell in love. It really does have just the right amount of trend so as not to be something you can only wear for a season and then have to retire. And, in true Summer Wind fashion, I styled it classic and simple.

I get a lot of questions from readers who e-mail me about what to wear on certain dates... so like what to wear for a first date or what to wear on a day-date, etc. So I also wanted to share this outfit because I think it's a great winter date outfit.

Whether you're going to see a Saturday matinee or you're headed to a casual bar to meet up with his friends, this is one of those really classic, non-fussy types of outfits that will have you feeling comfortable but very put together.

I think it's also a great option for a more casual day-date that you know will continue into the evening. Depending on the level of dress or the weather, you can swap out the shoes for booties if there is snow or throw on heels if you want to feel a bit dressier.

And, speaking of dressier, since the sweater is a bit short, it would be a great 'skirt sweater'... you know those sweaters that don't look frumpy when paired with skirts? Well, this is a great one!

Lately1/11/2018

Shop the Look:
This week was SUCH a doozy. I'm very ready for the weekend and yet I feel like I have so much to do before I can even get there.

I was in a pretty bad car accident on Tuesday. No one was hurt, and that's all that really matters. It was a semi-truck that hit me on my driver's side. Any other way it could have happened, I would have been badly hurt or maybe even killed. So scary. However, the truck was driving really slowly because traffic was stopped (including my car).  But my car is badly damaged. Another silver lining is that it's still driveable until I am to take it in for the estimate/repairs.

Dealing with insurance is probably one of the least enjoyable things and a big time suck, but I'm just really lucky and grateful I am ok and my car isn't even totaled or anything like that!

This week I also had a lot of appointments and meetings. I feel like I have been running around all over the place. I hope to take it easy this weekend. Tomorrow I'm excited to have dinner with some good girlfriends and catch up with them and Sunday is the Steeler's first playoff game, so I am getting together with friends for that, too!

Wearing: I've been obsessed with this navy blue and white (reversible) cashmere sweater ever since I got it back in December. It's super thick and high quality and I just love the mixed stripes on the cuffs. And, it really is totally reversible. It's like two sweaters in one! I also just found a great dupe for one of my favorite pairs of Ray-Bans. My Ray-Bans are $178, but the pair I found are only $59.50!

Eating: My sister made this broccoli cheese soup in her crockpot and recommended it to me. I love broccoli cheese soup so I can't wait to try it out!

Drinking: Did you see my post about citrus water

Watching:
I started the Marvelous Mrs.Maisel (on Amazon) and I'm only a few episodes in but it's pretty good. The only thing I don't love is that it's very show-tune-ish. That's the best word I can use to describe it. I don't really care for musicals and there are parts where it feels too 'Broadway'. It was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, who you may recognize from Gilmore Girls, so it definitely has a bit of her in it and I love that!

Shop the Look:
Sale-ing: I finally got my hands on this Tory Burch Cora dress and I shared this post in my Insta roundup earlier this week, but there are still some sizes left.
Sale-ing II: I'm not a huge Net-a-Porter shopper because everything is so freaking expensive. Nonetheless, I love it. They're having a HUGE sale. Tons of items under $200 and a lot of great summer items and activewear! Scroll through the widget above to see my favorites (and what I think are the best for the price). I literally combed through all of the pages- there were thousands of items!!!

Loving: I got this Avene face mist at a pharmacy in Paris and I love love love it! I use it almost daily. Whether I'm traveling and my face needs refreshing or I just applied my makeup and it needs to be set, this is the best. I always thought that those face spray waters were stupid, but now that I've been using one, I am obsessed! I didn't know you could find it in America (but now I realize it's on Amazon Prime and Dermstore!), so I decided to try the Evian spray and it's not as great. The difference is that the Avene truly comes out as a very light mist and the Evian comes out kind of like tiny droplets, so it's almost like it's sprinkling on your face.

Pittsburgh-ing: Restaurant week is next week! I'm excited to go to a place I haven't tried yet... I'll be sure to report back. One thing I'm slightly disappointed to see is that SO many restaurants have roasted chicken as their meat choice. Yes, I like roasted chicken, but I feel like that's boring/basic and a cheap way out for all of the restaurants.

Wanting: I can't get over all the resort collections out right now. I want all of the bright colors and lightweight fabrics. Luckily, in Pittsburgh, it 'warmed' up a bit. Today is actually supposed to be up to 57, so I'm very pleased about that! Scroll through the widget above for some of my favorites.

Citrus Water Tip

Citrus Water Ideas

Citrus Water Ideas

Citrus Water Ideas

fruit infused water
Shop the Look:
I've said this before, but I'm not so into resolutions. My goal is to always try to be drinking more water, working out more/better, eating healthy, setting goals and completing them.

But, if you're into resolutions, and one of them is to drink more water... or if you are just looking for something to spice up your water, enter citrus water. I know, groundbreaking, right? Well, hear me out.

I've been dehydrated a few times in my life and it's not fun. I feel like I'm pretty good at hydrating, but I will say I kind of hate that I am always reaching for sparkling waters. They have become so trendy that there are just so many 'flavors' to choose from. I'm guilty of loving them and just can't give them up. While they're not necessarily 'bad' for me, I still need to get myself to drink regular flat water from time to time.

So, after being in Arizona and picking fresh citrus, I got home and bought allllll the citrus and have been drinking it ever since.

I wanted to share two tips with you that may not be as obvious. I am not a lemon-water kind of gal... to me, lemons are too tart or bitter tasting. I prefer lime but let me tell you, a navel orange squeezed into water is AMAZING.

If you're like me and are not a fan of the bitter taste of lemon, I introduce you to Meyer lemons! I've heard of Meyer lemons in products or desserts and what not but had never personally seen one or tried a raw one.

They had them at my local Trader Joe's and they are SO good. They're a bit sweeter and just don't have that 'edge' that lemons can have. After trying a few, I got curious and googled them. It's a cross between a lemon and a mandarin.

If you sit a Meyer lemon next to a regular lemon, you'll see the skin is much smoother and has a deeper, golden color (they're 'prettier' than a regular lemon).

Anyway, a Meyer lemon tastes amazing in hot water in the morning and then added with a mix of oranges and limes in both flat and sparkling water. It's also great for a cocktail, too!

And my second tip... I see a lot of those containers that you can buy and make a big batch of 'spa water'. But, for citrus water, I suggest making it in-the-moment by the glass. This is because I find that if the rinds 'marinate' in the water for too long, you get a sour, unpleasant taste. I think if you wanted to make it in a big batch, you'd want to get rid of the skins first!

So those are my little tips! Do you drink fruit water?! Do you have a favorite combo I should try? Let me know!

Instagram Roundup

This year, I'm focusing on my blog, rather than Instagram. I've honestly always been that way, but this year more than ever.

There was once a time that I so enjoyed Instagram-when it was spur of the moment and in chronological order (where I was able to see everyone's posts). But now, with a new algorithm, every other week (it seems like) it's just ridiculous to keep up with! It's become a place where I only feel I am connecting with you all via DM's and Instastories (which are both aspects I love about Instagram). One of my favorite parts of blogging has always been connecting with readers and I feel like it's becoming harder to connect when posting an Instagram to my feed. But with my blog, I feel like we are always connecting and I get such lovely e-mails from all of you. It feels more like a community if you will.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not changing my typical Instagram content, in fact, I'm enjoying posting to Instagram stories rather than posting an actual Instagram because I'm able to share so much more with you. It's also typically 'in the moment' making it a lot more real. What do you guys think about that?

Anyway, with that said, I share a lot more fashion/outfits on Instagram than I do here on my blog. I like to keep my blog a good balance of lifestyle, travel, beauty, and fashion- kind of like a potpourri of content, you know?

So, today I am doing a roundup of stuff I share on Instagram. I'll do these from time to time so those who aren't big Instagrammers can see my content and also those who don't use LikeToKnowIt can shop the pieces I am wearing.

If you don't use Instagram or don't use LikeToKnowIt, you can always shop my outfits on this page on my blog. It's always there, always up to date, and there's no signup necessary.

Shop the Look:
I wore this outfit this past weekend while up in the mountains. As I was browsing online a few weeks ago, I noticed myself adding bright colors to my cart, which is a little unusual for me. I typically stick to black/gray, cream/white, navy blue, etc. (and especially in the winter). I think the bitter cold and grayness has already gotten to me and I'm looking for anything to brighten my day (figuratively and literally).

I'm so glad I got this bright pink sweater. The color is a just-right-shade of bright pink. It's not cheesy and I really think this shade of pink isn't something that will necessarily be too dated. The cut/shape of the sweater is classic, which is what originally drew me to it! I wore it with these navy leggings (which have a very 'cool girl' vibe to them. I wouldn't really wear them to work out. They run a little big and are a bit see-through in the butt if you are stretching, but they're warm and cozy and cute for lounging.

And the slippers- the most important part, in my opinion, are SO warm. I got these for Christmas. I originally wanted the Ugg slippers I had shared, but they were sold out in my size, so these were my secondary option. And honestly, now that I have these, I am so glad I got them becuase I really think they are better (so incredibly comfortable and warm). They have a version without the shearling on the outside, if that is something you prefer!

Denim Shirt// Cream Velvet Pants (on sale under $100)

I wore this while I was in Arizona (you can read my travel guide, here). I realized I forgot to share outfit details with all of you!

I wore this outfit while at Canyon Creek Ranch. I felt very 'in character' with my Western-inspired outfit. These cream velvet pants are what I wore with this outfit back in the fall. I've actually been wearing them a lot more in the past several months than I ever thought I was going to. It's basically like wearing white jeans, but these are a little creamier white and they are velvet, so totally appropriate for the winter months! They're currently on sale for under $100. Since they're final sale, I'll let you know about fit... they fit true to size, a little roomy and they do stretch a bit when you're wearing them.

I want to start posting some more beauty-related content, so I shared my go-to winter red polish color which is 'I've Got the Blues for Red'. I've worn this deep red for years and I just love the blue-ish red shade.
